Hey Mike
What a pleasant surprise to hear from you and hear of your project for the PCS website. I will enjoy catching up and sure do appreciate your taking the time to put it together.
Your are right about us. We do have an e-mail address but as it turns out, it is much slower than snail-mail as I don't get to check it too often. Hence, this reply by conventional mail.
I don't have any pics from our days at PCS. Hopefully, Mom can send you some of those. I moved from Puebla in 1979 to Chihuahua City. I finished high school there through the U of Nebraska and graduated in 1980. I attended Bible College in Wisconsin from 1981-1983 where I met Sandra. She was born of missionary parents on August 4, 1963, and raised in Brazil. We were married June 18, 1983. We spent the next four years in missionary training and preparing to go to the mission field. We arrived in Chihuahua in January of 1988. Sandra spent about ten months converting her Portuguese to Spanish and then we moved into the mountains in November of that same year to begin our church-planting efforts amongst the Guarijio People with New Tribes Mission. I am involved in Bible translation as well.
Our children are:
Brad 6-17-87
Shelbi 6-3-89
Adam 11-10-93
My sister Gayle is an emergency room nurse working in Portland, Oregon. Dad and Mom retired from New Tribes about ten years ago and are living in Warsaw, Indiana which is where we call home when we are in the States. ggutwein@mymailstation.com
Mike, thanks again for taking on this project. You don't live all that far away from us. What are you up to?
Kevin Gutwein.
